It is with great sadness that we must announce the passing of NPG founder and President, Donald W. Mann. Don led NPG from its inception in 1972 until his death on May 1, 2021. We will miss his witty sense of humor and his sage advice.
Last year, NPG member and activist Alan Saly graciously wrote a short biography on Don for the Wesleyan Alumni magazine. Mr. Saly granted permission to reprint his text into an NPG handout to allow our members to learn more about Don’s impressive background. We encourage all of our readers to review this piece now, in Don’s honor.
NPG will continue its important work – to educate all Americans regarding the need for policies designed to slow, halt, and eventually reverse population growth. While we will all feel the loss of Don, we know he would want his legacy of population reduction and environmental stewardship to continue for many generations to come.
