A Life Devoted to Changing Attitudes on Population Growth

Population writer Lindsey Grant (1926 – 2024) began his association with NPG in 1987, when he initiated the NPG Forum series. Over the following 3 decades, he continued to write about population issues, ultimately contributing more than 60 works to NPG.  In addition to authoring many papers himself, Lindsey helped arrange various writers for the Forum series, and served as an editor and advisor to these new voices. He also wrote or edited eight books during that period, six of which were supported by NPG, either by distributing them to major U.S. libraries or, in one case, publishing the book.
