NPG Outreach

NPG utilizes many avenues to convey our message to the public and elected officials.  We also encourage activism, inviting our supporters to: subscribe to NPG emails, contact your representatives to voice your opinion on population-related legislation, and share the NPG message with your local community.  We also appreciate the generous donations of our members, which help us continue our mission through the wide variety of programs below.

Advertisements

National advertising is key to NPG’s educational mission. Our ads regularly appear in national publications such as the Christian Science Monitor (as well as on the Christian Science Monitor’s website), the Washington Times National Weekly, the Washington Post National Weekly, Harper’s Magazine, E Magazine and The New Republic. We also place ads in Roll Call and The Hill, both capitol hill publications, in order to draw much-needed attention to specific items currently on the floor of Congress.

Media Appearances

If you are affiliated with the media and would like to schedule an interview, please contact NPG.  If you are an NPG member and know of a station that will help share our mission with their listeners, please email us their information.

For Educators

As part of our public education program, NPG provides classroom materials to teachers throughout America.  Available on request – and distributed free of charge, our popular Teacher’s Packet includes Student Fact Sheets, a full-color U.S. Population poster, and a selection of NPG Forum papers on topics related to population growth.  We also sponsor our annual NPG Scholarship Contest, available to eligible high school seniors and college undergraduate and graduate students.  Our Population Resources page offers many interactive tools to explore the wealth of data available on population growth.  For researchers, NPG regularly publishes our ongoing Forum series of research papers, and Press Releases to the national media.  We invite you to visit our NPG Publications and Recommended Reading for the full archives of our educational and research materials.
