  • Significant population growth has been observed in most counties within Idaho (95.5%) and Tennessee (94.7%) from 2022 to 2023.
  • The southern landscape continues to change as Texas and Georgia counties witness a boom, with six Texas counties, notably Kaufman (at 7.6%) and Rockwall (at 6.5%), leading in growth rates.
  • Harris County, Texas, saw the largest numeric increase across the nation, adding 53,788 new residents.
  • The Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX, metropolitan area boasts of surpassing 8 million residents, marking the highest numeric population leap of any US metro area—152,598 new individuals in the past year.
  • Florida dominates the list of fastest-growing US metros, with four out of five top spots, including Wildwood-The Villages, FL, with a notable growth rate of 4.7%.
  • Seaford, DE, saw the largest gain among the micro areas, with an additional 7,062 people. Meanwhile, Jefferson, GA, emerged as the quickest-growing micro area, expanding at a 5.5% growth rate.
  • Puerto Rico’s general decline in population was punctuated by growth in 13 municipios, with RincĂłn Municipio at the forefront, increasing its population by 0.8% or 118 individuals in 2023.
