With the second session of the 118 Congress now underway, it is time for you, our nation’s elected leaders, to set your differences aside and join forces to secure our nation’s borders. No matter how they twist the facts, the hard truth is that our current border crisis has grown completely out of control.

THOUSANDS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ENTER THE UNITED STATES EVERY

Thanks to horribly weak enforcement of immigration laws, and a gross lack of political will, America is  currently overwhelmed by thousands of illegal immigrants crossing into the United States every day. In the last four months of 2023, more than ONE MILLION unauthorized individuals entered the U.S. illegally.

Once they arrive, some will meet with an immigration official and receive a Notice to Appear at a designated courthouse several months, or even years, into the future. Where they go next remains a mystery, and many will never appear at their scheduled hearing. Others may not be stopped at all and they will simply find their way into American society.

THIS SCENARIO IS BOTH DANGEROUS AND ABSURD

IT IS TIME TO STOP!
STOP turning a blind eye to flagrant violations of U.S. immigration law.
STOP pandering to the special interest groups that demand even more illegal immigration.
And STOP jeopardizing America’s future by setting us up to be a nation of 400 million, or even 500 million, struggling Americans!

Every nation has the right to defend its borders. Doing so protects its citizens, jobs, education, and healthcare. The United States, even as one of the world’s most immigrant-friendly countries, must maintain control of its borders or the America we know will soon become a thing of the past. Enforcing immigration laws makes the process fair to everyone. What is currently happening on the southern border rewards those who break the law and sends a signal to all hopeful migrants that our borders are weak and the rules simply do not matter.

Negative Population Growth, the nation’s premiere organization focusing exclusively on U.S. population size and growth, calls for a slow and gradual reduction in the size of our population to allow our nation to reach a smaller, truly sustainable, population level. Understanding that the overwhelming majority of future growth will stem from immigration, we recommend a cap on legal immigration to no more than 200,000 admissions per year, and an end to illegal immigration entirely.
