AMERICA’S NEW
ENVIRONMENTAL
DEBATE

Our nation’s increasing environmental problems can be traced to one source: an ever-growing population.

No matter the issue – whether energy shortages, polluted air and water, loss of open spaces, destruction of wildlife habitats, or threatened national parks – the demands of our growing population are going to severely exacerbate our environmental problems.

Th at is why the White House and the 117th Congress must include a debate on our country’s environmental future as they continue discussions over immigration reform in the coming months. Th e decisions our elected leaders make on these critical issues will have huge consequences for our environment.

It is important for our nation’s leaders to put political agendas aside. We must demand that they conduct a vigorous, informed, and constructive debate that will bring forth responsible immigration policies. Only then can we hope to achieve sustainable, non-destructive, population levels for the 21st century.

Th e wrong decisions on immigration will only lead to disaster for our environment and our nation.

NPG has led the discussion on America’s population growth by educating both citizens and legislators for 50 years. We have also worked as partners with other national organizations to address the relationship between our population size and our fragile environment. We invite you to join us in this quest.

CALL YOUR U.S. SENATORS AND CONGRESSMAN AT 202-224-3121.
REMIND THEM THAT THE WRONG DECISIONS ON IMMIGRATION WILL HAVE HUGE CONSEQUENCES FOR AMERICA’S ENVIRONMENT.
