THE END OF TITLE 42 WILL LEAD TO HUGE POPULATION SURGES AND CHANGE OUR NATION FOREVER!

Title 42, the Trump-era immigration restriction put into place to curb the spread of COVID-19, ended on May 11, 2023. Migrants from south of the border, as well as others from all over the world, were waiting on the Mexican side of the border, counting down the minutes. Nearly everyone, on both sides of the issue, expects a significant increase in illegal border crossings now that the COVID-related restriction has been lifted.

What will happen within a week? Or a month? The answer is anyone’s guess; what we do know, however, is that Title 42 was designed to restrict immigration, so ending it will certainly lead to increased numbers.

The United States has every right to secure its borders – every nation on the planet does. Some very influential voices within the U.S., particularly in the media, simply must stop playing into the naïve belief that every person has the right to immigrate to the United States. There is no way we could possibly accept every hopeful migrant who wishes to move here. Our federal government must establish limits, and laws to maintain those limits.

So please, make your voice heard by calling the White House, your Senators, and your Congressional Representative and tell them that it’s time to get serious about illegal entry and border security.

At 334 million people, the United States is already vastly overpopulated. We must begin to implement policies designed to slow, halt, and eventually reverse population growth. Our federal government is making this almost impossible as it continues to remove restrictions on immigration, sending a message to millions of hopeful migrants that it’s OK to enter the U.S. illegally. What’s even worse, many of the illegal immigrants now crossing our border will be given an opportunity to apply for asylum and possibly receive it! This is not how asylum should work.

Without immigration, U.S. population would have stabilized in about 1970 due to lower fertility rates. The unfortunate reality is that immigrants, and their American-born children, now account for more than 90% of our population growth. In the near future, they will be responsible for nearly all growth.

As an organization devoted to achieving a smaller, truly sustainable, U.S. and world population, NPG takes immigration very seriously. We call for an end to illegal immigration, achieved by securing the border in a meaningful way and by requiring all employers to use E-Verify to check every applicant’s eligibility to work in the U.S.
