New Survey Indicates Growing Disdain for Situation at US-Mexico Border

What does everyone REALLY think about what’s happening at the US-Mexico Border?

The results of a new Pew Research Center survey show, “Just 23% of Americans say the government is doing a good job dealing with the large number of people seeking asylum at the border, while more than three times as many (73%) say it’s doing a bad job.”

The survey also found 47% of Americans rated illegal immigration as a very big problem. Half (52%) considered it very important to require people seeking asylum in the US to apply before they travel to the border, and half (49%) believe it is very important to increase staffing and resources for patrolling and policing the border.

It’s the special interest groups that support more people coming into our country. They’re spending millions to lobby Congress, advocating for open borders and unlimited immigration, regardless of how it affects ordinary people like us. The truth is, we can’t just let everyone move here. It’s simply not sustainable for future generations. We need to stop the open-borders madness.

Keep an eye out for NPG’s upcoming Forum paper, The Point of No Return, by Mark Cromer, to read more about immigration at the US-Mexico border.
