It’s Time for Congress to respond to the Demands of the American People on Immigration!

A new Gallup Poll released in January reveals that a majority of Americans are dissatisfied with the current level of immigration.

This latest data reaffirms what we have all known for years – our nation’s present immigration numbers are too high and our entire immigration system is in dire need of immediate reform.

Congressional procrastination on this critical issue has permitted the Obama Administration to accede to the demands of the open-border lobby. In recent months, the White House has worked to abolish or dilute immigration laws and policies that have existed for years.

We cannot let this unilateral decision making via Executive Order continue. The 112th Congress must lead the way to address and resolve America’s immigration problems.

Our elected leaders must demand that the Obama White House enforce current deportation laws. In addition, Congress must pass legislation that will mandate E-verify for all new hires; change present laws related to anchor babies and chain migration; halt federal funding for “sanctuary” cities; severely cut back the current 1,000,000 new immigrants that legally arrive in our country annually; and halt any effort to back away from strong border enforcement.
