(NPG) was founded in 1972 to educate all Americans regarding the need for policies designed to slow, halt, and eventually reverse immigration-driven population growth. We firmly believe that a smaller, truly sustainable population would assure a better quality of life for all Americans while also protecting our environment for the very long term.

To achieve our goal of population reduction, NPG believes our nation must adopt two core principles: the voluntary, non-coerced acceptance of the ideal of the two-child family and a firm cap of no more than 200,000 legal immigrants each year. NPG further believes that illegal immigration can and must be stopped entirely. This can be accomplished by enforcing all laws currently available in all jurisdictions and making proof of legal residency a requirement for all jobs in the United States.

Using a variety of educational programs, NPG strives to change public opinion on population size
and growth. Our efforts include:
