OUR NATIONAL PARKS ARE BEING LOVED TO DEATH

In 2024, America's National Park System recorded 331.9 million visits. Originally designed to preserve some of our nation's most significant natural and cultural lands, the collection of 429 parks, monuments, battlefields, seashores, and other designed areas that comprise the National Park System is simply overwhelmed with too many people. Some parks are so popular that a family must make reservations months in advance to experience the wonders they may offer. This is surely not what our nation's leaders intended when they worked so diligently to create the National Park System.

Adding tens of millions more people to our nation's population each decade will only make things worse. That is why NPG is working to slow, halt, and eventually reverse America's population growth. We owe it to future generations to ensure that they will be able to cherish and enjoy the unique experience a national park "getaway" offers. Join us!
