NPG’s annual Scholarship Contests, part of our core educational programs, challenge high school
seniors and college undergraduates to submit entries to a variety of population-themed competitions. In 2016, students were invited to create an advertisement which engages broad public support for NPG’s mission: to slow, halt, and eventually reverse U.S. population growth. This ad from Matthew Janz, a student at Nevada State College in Henderson, won NPG’s $1,000 Edith E. May Memorial Scholarship Award for the 2016 Contest.
