AN OPEN LETTER TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE 115th CONGRESS

Millions of Americans recently went to the polls to elect leaders who will shape the future of our nation. Today, we speak for tens of millions of citizens in asking that you give top priority to restoring order to America’s failed immigration system.

As active members of Negative Population Growth (NPG), we demand stronger borders and enforcement of existing immigration laws… ask that you make no promises to any groups regarding future amnesty/citizenship… and urge you to push for better tracking of foreign visitors as they enter and leave the U.S. on visas.

We are calling on you to support mandatory E-Verify to validate a person’s legal status to hold a job… back revised family reunification policies to limit the lengthy “chain” migration of extended, non-nuclear relatives… stop automatic citizenship for “anchor babies” born to non-citizens… and drastically reduce the growing numbers of employment-based visas for foreign workers.

The bottom line is that ever-increasing population numbers put America’s future in great peril – and more than 80% of today’s population growth is due to immigration.

America has always been a welcoming nation. We can continue to carry that tradition forward only if we no longer permit millions more people from around the world to enter our country illegally – or even legally. This growth only exacerbates the huge social, economic, and environmental problems that already threaten America’s quality of life.

For 45 years, NPG has served America by educating citizens about the need for responsible population and immigration policies. By electing you to serve our nation, Americans are depending on you to not only confront – but resolve – these critical issues. Please pledge today that you will do so. Thank you.
